Formula: K(Mg,Fe2+)Al(Si4O10)(OH)2
Phyllosilicate (sheet silicate), celadonite subgroup,
mica group, forms
a series with illite (Wiki).
Crystal System: Monoclinic
Colour: Colourless when pure, grass green when ferrous iron-bearing
Environments:
Aluminoceladonite is a low-temperature mineral; along with other phyllosilicate minerals in the
illite - aluminoceladonite series, it has been observed among
finely dispersed mica varieties occurring in sedimentary rocks
(Wiki).
There are two co-type localities for aluminoceladonite, Anna chapel, Wiesmath, Bucklige Welt, and Frohsdorf,
Lanzenkirchen, both in Industrieviertel, Lower Austria, Austria.
