Aluminotaipingite-(CeCa) is a new mineral, approved in 2023 and to date (January 2024) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Casette Quarry, Montoso Quarries, Bagnolo Piemonte, Cuneo Province, Piedmont, Italy, aluminotaipingite-(CeCa) was found in cavities of a leucogranitic orthogneiss as light pink to pink, transparent or semi-transparent pyramidal crystals with a vitreous lustre, up to 0.07 mm in size. Associated minerals include wulfenite, titanite, synchysite-(Ce), laumontite, kainosite-(Y), clinochlore and allanite-(Ce) (MM, 87.5.741-747, Mindat).
