type locality.
Localities
At the type locality, the Casette Quarry, Montoso Quarries, Bagnolo Piemonte, Cuneo Province, Piedmont, Italy,
aluminotaipingite-(CeCa) was found in cavities of a
leucogranitic
orthogneiss as light pink to pink, transparent or semi-transparent
pyramidal crystals with a vitreous lustre, up to 0.07 mm in size. Associated minerals include
wulfenite, titanite,
synchysite-(Ce), laumontite,
kainosite-(Y), clinochlore
and allanite-(Ce)
(MM, 87.5.741-747, Mindat).
