At the type locality, the Queténa Mine, Toki Cu deposit, Chuquicamata District, Calama, El Loa Province, Antofagasta, Chile, aubertite occurs as azure-blue crusts of corroded grains, associated with copiapite, amarantite, parabutlerite and hohmannite (AM 65.205-210).
