Metamorphic environments

Dixenite occurs in a metamorphosed iron-manganese orebody in serpentine (Webmin) at the type locality, Långban, Filipstad, Värmland, Sweden, which is the only recorded locality to date (May 2020) (Mindat). It is associated with hematite, adelite, native lead, domeykite and magnussonite (HOM).
