Evaporite deposits

Ericaite is an uncommon constituent of marine evaporite deposits (HOM).

Localities

At the Alto Chapare mining district, Chapare Province, Cochabamba, Bolivia, ericaite is associated with danburite and boracite (HOM).

Ericaite is found in several potassium salt deposits in the southern Harz mountains, Lower Saxony, Germany, in halite-anhydrite and halite-anhydrite-kieserite rock (AM 41.372).

At the type locality, the Riedel Potash Works, Hänigsen, Uetze, Hanover Region, Lower Saxony, Germany, ericaite is associated with halite, sylvite, anhydrite and kieserite (HOM).
