Localities

At the type locality, the Vilyui River Basin, Mirninsky District, Sakha, Russia, eringaite is an accessory mineral in metasomatic rodingite-like rocks. It forms regular growth zones and irregular spots in complex garnet crystals containing a kimzeyite core. Associatied minerals include grossular, vesuvianite, serpentine, melilite-group minerals and kimzeyite (MM 74.365-373, HOM).
