Localities

At the Shijiangshan mine, Hexigten Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, China, imayoshiite has been found with datolite and shinichengite (Mindat photo).

At the type locality, Suisho-dani, Ise City, Mie Prefecture, Japan, imayoshiite occurs as aggregates of fibrous to acicular crystals up to 2 mm across, in cavities in an altered gabbro xenolith in serpentinised dunite, where rims of the xenoliths were hydrothermally altered. Associated minerals include oyelite, hydrogarnet, xonotlite, tobermorite, bultfonteinite, apophyllite and prehnite (HOM, Mindat).
