At the type locality, Deposit No. 06, Inder B deposit and salt dome, Inder, Atyrau Region, Kazakhstan, inderborite occurs in a borate deposit in the caprock of a salt dome, associated with inyoite, colemanite, ulexite and szaibélyite (HOM, Mindat).

At the Sarıkaya B deposit, Kirka, Seyitgazi District, Eskişehir Province, Turkey, inderborite occurs in lacustrine (pertaining to lakes) borate deposits (HOM).
