At the type locality, the Aschersleben I potash mine, Aschersleben, Salzlandkreis, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, kaliborite is associated with boracite, pinnoite and kainite (HOM).

At the Inder B deposit and salt dome, Inder District, Atyrau Region, Kazakhstan, kaliborite is associated with anhydrite and halite (HOM).
