Solubility: Readily soluble in water. Very deliquescent; in humid air it will quickly turn into a deep-yellow solution; survives only under favourable ambient conditions (Mindat).

Localities

At the type locality, Mount Vesuvius, Metropolitan City of Naples, Campania, Italy, kremersite occurs in active fumeroles, associated with erythrosiderite, molysite and hematite (HOM).

At the Marcel mine heap, Radlin, Wodzisław County, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, relatively large, deep red crystals of kremersite, up to about 3 mm in size, were found coalesced in a single block from the burning heap (Mindat).

At the Klyuchevsk Stratovolcano, Ust-Kamchatsky District, Kamchatka Krai, Russia, kremersite is associated with erythrosiderite (HOM).
