Localities

At the type locality, the Lengenbach Quarry, Fäld, Binn, Goms, Valais, Switzerland, marrite is of hydrothermal origin, occurring in dolostone as highly modified crystals, usually doubly terminated, and tarnished with red, yellow and blue colours. Associated minerals include lengenbachite, rathite, tennantite and sartorite (HOM, Mindat).
