Localities

At the type locality, the Kobokobo pegmatite, Mwenga Territory, South Kivu, DR Congo, moreauite occurs as a rare secondary mineral in the oxidised uraniferous zone of the complex granite pegmatite. It is found as greenish yellow nodules and books of plates flattened and sometimes elongated up to 0.2 mm, with one good cleavage.
