Pegmatites

Mosandrite is an alteration product of rinkite.

The type locality is Låven, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway.

At Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada, mosandrite occurs in eudialite-rich pegmatites, sodalite xenoliths and nepheline syenite.

In Greenland mosandrite occurs in sodalite syenite.
