Nancyrossite is a new mineral, approved in 2024 and to date (January 2026) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia, nancyrossite occurs as subhedral grains or fragments up to 0.3 mm in maximum dimension, that do not display stepped surfaces. Associated Minerals include galena and stottite. Nancyrossite probably formed by the oxidation and partial dehydrogenation of stottite with which it is associated intimately (MM 89.6.751–758, Mindat).
