Oxammite is an organic mineral derived from guano; it is also found in sub-fossil bird eggs and on sub-fossil birds (HOM).

Localities

At the type locality, the Guañape Islands, Virù Province, La Libertad, Peru, oxammite has been found as very delicate but perfect crystals associated with mascagnite in bird guano deposits (Mindat).
