At the type locality, the Dunite lens, Zlatogorsk ultramafic intrusion, Zlatogorsk, Aiyrtau District, North
Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan, pokrovskite occurs in a vein within
dunite, associated with
dolomite, magnesite and a
pyroaurite-2H (sjögrenite)-like mineral
(AM 70.217).
At the Cedar Hill Quarry, Fulton Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA, pokrovskite is associated
with coalingite and
mcguinnessite
(HOM).
