At the type locality, Highway 366 roadcut, Val-des-Monts, Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais RCM, Outaouais, Quebec,
Canada, potassic-magnesio-fluoro-arfvedsonite occurs in
fenitised Mesoproterozoic (1,600 to 1,000 million years ago)
metasedimentary rocks. It has recently been analysed from narrow
dolomite–amphibole veins
cutting Mesoproterozoic alkali feldspar
trachyte
(CM 44.289).
