Pseudomarkeyite is a relatively new mineral, approved in 2018 and to date (May 2022) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Markey Mine, Red Canyon Mining District, San Juan county, Utah, USA, pseudomarkeyite occurs as a secondary phase on bitumen (asphaltum), with natromarkeyite. It is found as pale green-yellow twinned tapering blades and tablets to 1 mm (MM84.5.753-765).
