At the type locality, Forra di Bulla, Kastelruth, Salten-Schlern, South Tyrol, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy,
pumpellyite-(Fe3+) occurs in altered
porphyritic rocks, associated with
plagioclase and hematite
(HOM).
The pumpellyite-(Fe3+) occurs in the form of dark green nodules showing a fibrous-radiating texture,
up to 1 cm in size, enclosed in the volcanic rock
(Mindat).
