Localities

At the Poudrette quarry, Mont Saint-Hilaire, La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada, sazhinite-(Ce) occurs in sodalite xenoliths in an intrusive alkalic gabbro-syenite complex, associated with vuonnemite, serandite, ussingite, sodalite and eudialyte (HOM).

At the type locality, the Yubileinaya pegmatite, Karnasurt Mountain, Lovozersky District, Murmansk Oblast, Russia, sazhinite-(Ce) occurs as disseminations in natrolite and rims around altered steenstrupine in the alkalic pegmatite in the differentiated alkalic massif. Associated minerals include natrolite, steenstrupine and neptunite. Crystals are tabular to thick tabular, striated along their length, up to 1.5 cm long (HOM).
