Localities

At the type locality, Stichtite Hill, Dundas mineral field, Zeehan District, West Coast municipality, Tasmania, Australia, stichtite occurs as irregularly-shaped masses, veins and blebs in serpentine found in serpentinites and associated with chromite (Mindat).

At Terekta Ridge, Ust-Koksinsky District, Altai Republic, Russia, hydrotalcite supergroup minerals stichtite, pyroaurite, iowaite and woodallite form a complex solid-solution system (Russian Geology and Geophysics 61.1.36–46).
