Localities

At Penobsquis, Cardwell Parish, Kings county, New Brunswick, Canada, strontioginorite is commonly found in small amounts associated with hilgardite, volkovskite, hydroboracite and trembathite. It occurs as colourless, frosted crystals (CM 43.1469-1487).

At the type locality, the Königshall-Hindenburg mine, Reyershausen, Bovenden, Göttingen District, Lower Saxony, Germany, strontioginorite was found in the water-insoluble residues of the "Old Halite" bed. It forms colourless, transparent, silky crystals up to 3 mm x 1 mm x 0.5 mm, but most are much smaller (AM 45.478).
