Sugarwhiteite is a new mineral, approved in 2024 and to date (April 2026) reported only from the type locality,
and still pending publication.
Localities
At the type locality, the Moctezuma Mine, Moctezuma, Moctezuma Municipality, Sonora, Mexico, sugarwhiteite
is a new (in 2024) secondary
tellurium species. It is relatively inconspicuous, occurring as irregular
pale-coloured masses
(AM 110.1498).
