Localities

At the Mount Clifford Ni deposit, Ten Mile Outcamp, Leonora Shire, Western Australia, trevorite occurs below a nickel sulphide deposit in gabbro intruding peridotites. Associated minerals include nickel, heazlewoodite and millerite (HOM).

At the type locality:ⓘ, the Bon Accord Ni deposit, Barberton, Mbombela Local Municipality, Ehlanzeni District Municipality, Mpumalanga, South Africa, trevorite occurs in a small tabular body of nickeliferous serpentinite, probably a contact deposit, along the junction of quartzite and an ultramafic intrusive. Associated minerals include nimite, willemseite, nickeloan talc, violarite, millerite, reevesite and goethite (HOM).
