below a nickel sulphide deposit in
gabbro intruding
peridotites. Associated minerals include
nickel, heazlewoodite and
millerite
(HOM).
At the type locality:ⓘ, the Bon Accord Ni deposit, Barberton, Mbombela Local Municipality, Ehlanzeni District
Municipality, Mpumalanga, South Africa, trevorite occurs in a small tabular body of
nickeliferous
serpentinite, probably a
contact deposit, along the junction of quartzite and an
ultramafic intrusive. Associated minerals include
nimite, willemseite,
nickeloan talc,
violarite, millerite,
reevesite and goethite
(HOM).
