Urancalcarite occurs in the oxidation zone of uranium deposits
(HOM).
Localities
At an unnamed U deposit in Hunan, China, urancalcarite has been found in association with
fourmarierite,
vandendriesscheite,
studtite, parauranophane and
rutherfordine
(HOM).
At the type locality, the Shinkolobwe Mine, Shinkolobwe, Kambove Territory, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo, urancalcarite
occurs as bright yellow acicular crystals forming radiating aggregates to 4 mm across on
uraninite, associated with
uranophane, masuyite and
wyartite
(AM 70.438-439).
