At the Acquasaliente Creek, Contrade Maglio-Pornaro, Val Munari, Tretto, Schio, Vicenza Province, Veneto, Italy, chantalite has been found with hibschite (Mindat photo).

At the type locality, Covur Yokusutepe Hill, Doganbaba, Yeşilova District, Burdur Province, Turkey, chantalite occurs as anhedral grains, 0.1 0.3 mm in size, in rodingite dikes from an ophiolite zone. Associated minerals include vuagnatite, prehnite, hydrogrossular, chlorite and calcite (AM 63.1282-1284).
