Localities
At the type locality, the Cigana claim, Barra do Cuieté, Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil,
correianevesite occurs in a phosphate-rich granite
pegmatite that outcrops near the mine. Associated minerals
include triphylite,
lithiophilite, frondelite,
rockbridgeite, eosphorite,
vivianite, fairfieldite,
leucophosphite,
cyrilovite and
phosphosiderite.
Correianevesite occurs as grayish-brown to reddish-brown transparent bipyramidal crystals up to 4 mm in size.
The streak is white, lustre is vitreous, cleavage is poor, and fracture is laminated, uneven across cleavage
(AM 99.4.811-816).
