Faujasite

tectosilicate

basaltic cavities

Faujasite is three mineral species:
Faujasite-Ca, (Ca,Na,Mg)2(Si,Al)12O24.15H2O
Faujasite-Mg, (Mg,Na,K,Ca)2(Si,Al)12O24.15H2O
Faujasite-Na, (Na,Ca,Mg)2(Si,Al)12O24.15H2O
They are tectosilicates (framework silicates), zeolite group

Sedimentary environments
Basaltic cavities

Faujasite usually occurs in cavities in basaltic volcanics, and also as an alteration product of volcanic tuff (Dana).
