Pegmatites

At the co-type localities, the Urubu mine and the Cruzeiro mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil, fluor-elbaite is formed in or near miarolitic cavities by late-stage hydrothermal solutions in a zoned granitic pegmatite, associated with quartz, muscovite, lepidolite, spodumene, spessartine and beryl (HOM, Mindat, AM 98.297-303).
