Localities

At the type Locality, the Korshunovskoye iron deposit, Zheleznogorsk-Ilimsky, Nizhneilimsky District, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia, kornushovslite was found in a drill core taken at 770 m in the iron ore deposit, in low-temperature hydrothermal veinlets in dolomitic marble. Associated minerals include ekaterinite, shabynite, magnetite, antigorite, dolomite and magnesite (HOM).
