Laverovite is a relatively new mineral, approved in 2018 and to date (July 2022) reported only from the type
locality
Localities
At the type locality, the Poudrette quarry, Mont Saint-Hilaire, La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM, Montérégie, Quebec,
Canada, laverovite occurs in a nepheline syenite
pegmatite. Associated minerals are
zircophyllite, kupletskite, astrophyllite, aegirine,
analcime, orthoclase and
albite. The laverovite formed as a late-stage hydrothermal mineral
