Pegmatites

Although lisitsynite was approved in 2000, to date (May 2023) it has been reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Koashva Open Pit, Koashva Mt, Khibiny Massif, Murmansk Oblast, Russia, lisitsynite occurs as irregularly shaped grains and subhedral tabular crystals 0.2 to 0.5 mm across in a hyperagpaitic pegmatite. Associated minerals include villiaumite, sphalerite, sodalite, pectolite, natrite, nacaphite, lomonosovite, K-feldspar, galena, fluorcaphite, chkalovite, cancrinite and aegirine (Mindat).
