The type localityis the Sophia mine, Böckelsbach valley, Wittichen, Schenkenzell, Rottweil, Freiburg Region,
Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
Alteration:
Metauranospinite is a dehydration product of uranospinite, as
indicated by the prefix "meta".
It rehydrates easily back to uranospinite
(Dana, Webmin).
