Organovaite-(Zn) was approved in 2002, and to date (March 2024) it has been reported only from the
Karnasurt Mountain, Lovozersky District, Murmansk Oblast, Russia. It occurs in
an alkaline pegmatite, and sometimes forms
pseudomorphs after
vuonnemite
(Webmin).
Localities
At the type locality, the Karnasurt Mountain, Lovozersky District, Murmansk Oblast, Russia, organovaite-(Zn) is
associated with
natrolite, microcline,
albite, aegirine,
organovaite-Mn, beryllite,
elpidite and many others, in the alkaline
pegmatite
(AM 88.932-933).
