Localities

At the type locality:ⓘ Osarara, Narok County, Kenya, the holotype specimen occurs in quartz-muscovite schist. Crystals of oxy-dravite are dark red, partially translucent with a vitreous lustre, a pink streak and conchoidal fracture (AM 98.1442-1448).
