Cave deposits

Phosphammite is found in guano deposits, and is probably a crystallisation product of the liquid fraction of guano (Webmin, HOM).

Localities

At the type locality, Earles Find, Lake Rason, Laverton Shire, Western Australia, phosphammite is associated with ammonian aphthitalite, urea and weddellite (HOM, Dana).

At the Guañape Islands, Virù Province, La Libertad, Peru, phosphammite is found with biphosphammite (HOM, Dana).
