Urea is derived from bat guano and urine, stable only under very arid conditions (Mindat).

Localities

At the type locality, Toppin Hill, Lake Rason, Laverton Shire, Western Australia, urea was found as a damp incoherent mass of crystals in cave guano from warm arid environment, associated with ammonian aphthitalite, phosphammite and weddellite (AM 59.874 Mindat).
