Hydrothermal environments

Although quadradite was approved in 1994, to date (February 2026) it has been reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Lengenbach Quarry, Fäld, Binn, Goms, Valais, Switzerland, quadradite occurs in cavities in hydrothermally altered dolostone, likely formed at a late stage. Associated minerals include galena, dolomite, jordanite, pyrite, sphalerite, lengenbachite and hatchite (HOM, Mindat).
