Environments
Although rimkorolgite was approved in 1990, to date (July 2025) it has been reported only from the
Kovdor massif (two localities).
Localities
At the type locality, the Kovdor Zheleznyi mine, Kovdor Massif, Murmansk Oblast, Russia, rimkorolgite occurs
in centimetre-sized cavities in dolomitic
carbonatites that cut
jacupirangite and
forsterite-magnetite
iron ores containing collinsite,
bobierrite, carbonate-rich
fluorapatite and
strontiowhitlockite
(AM 81.517-518).
