Hydrothermal environments

Sabugalite is a secondary mineral formed in the oxidised zone of uranium veins (Webmin), associated with meta-autunite, saléeite and phosphuranylite (HOM, AM 36.671-679).

At the type locality, the Bica Mine, Sabugal, Guarda, Portugal, sabugalite is associated with meta-autunite, saléeite, phosphuranylite, milky quartz and feldspar (Dana).
