At the type locality, the Biachella Valley, Sacrofano, Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Lazio, Italy, sacrofanite occurs as colourless, transparent, flattencd hexagonal prisms in a cavity of an ejected block of volcanic rock, associated with sanidine, andradite, fassaite, pyroxene, leucite and haüyne (AM 66.1100).
