Seeligerite is a rare secondary mineral formed in the oxidised zone of hydrothermal polymetallic mineral deposits (HOM).

Localities

At the type locality, the Santa Ana Mine, Caracoles, Sierra Gorda, Antofagasta Province, Antofagasta, Chile, seeligerite is associated with boleite, paralaurionite and schwartzembergite (AM 57.327-328).
