Pegmatites

Although shibkovite was approved in 1997, to date (August 2025) it has been approved only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, Dara-i-Pioz Massif, Districts of Republican Subordination, Tajikistan, shibkovite occurs as white to colourless equant grains, up to 0.5 mm in size, in pegmatites in coarse-grained microcline-quartz rocks in the moraine deposits of the glacier. Associated minerals include reedmergnerite, aegirine, polylithionite, sogdianite, albite, pyrochlore, pectolite, eudialyte group minerals and turkestanite (AM 85.628
