Localities

At the type locality, the Layo deposit, Castilla Province, Arequipa, Peru, tennantite-(Cu) occurs at the epithermal deposit as black metallic anhedral grains, up to 0.1 mm across, replacing enargite and associated with chalcopyrite and vinciennite (MM 86.2.331-339).
