Hydrothermal environments

Uranospathite is an uncommon secondary mineral occurring in the oxidised zones of uranium-bearing hydrothermal deposits. It easily loses 10-12 H2O converting to sabugalite. It is commonly associated with bassetite (Mindat, HOM).
