oxidised portion of a
stannite-cassiterite vein
(Dana).
In Guangxi, China, varlamoffite occurs in a greisenised
niobium-tantalum bearing stock, associated with cassiterite
(Dana).
At the type locality, Kalima, Maniema, DR Congo, varlamoffite occurs in
tin-bearing veins
(AM 34.618).
At Sungei Lah (Sungei Lok), Chenderiang, Balang Padang, Perak, Malaysia, varlamoffite occurs on
cassiterite
(Dana).
