Hydrothermal environments

Varlamoffite occurs in the oxidised protions of stannite-cassiterite veins (Webmin).

Localities

At the Sardine mine, near Ewan, Kangaroo Hills district, Queensland, Australia, varlamoffite occurs in the oxidised portion of a stannite-cassiterite vein (Dana).

In Guangxi, China, varlamoffite occurs in a greisenised niobium-tantalum bearing stock, associated with cassiterite (Dana).

At the type locality, Kalima, Maniema, DR Congo, varlamoffite occurs in tin-bearing veins (AM 34.618).

At Sungei Lah (Sungei Lok), Chenderiang, Balang Padang, Perak, Malaysia, varlamoffite occurs on cassiterite (Dana).
