Vrančiceite is a new mineral, approved in 2023 and to date (November 2023) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, Old mine dumps, Vraneč hill, Vrančice, Příbram District, Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic, vrančiceite was discovered in a sample collected from the dumps; it occurs as rare anhedral grains, up to 100 μm in size, in a calcite gangue, associated with cinnabar, djurleite, galena and hedyphane (MM 87.670-678).
