Pegmatites

Yttrotantalite-(Y) is a rare accessory mineral in granite pegmatites, usually metamict (Webmin, HOM).

Localities

At the Hattevik Feldspar Quarry, Dillingøya, Moss, and near Berg, Råde, both at Østfold, Norway, yttrotantalite-(Y) is associated with monazite, columbite, allanite, samarskite, xenotime, gadolinite and mica (HOM).

AT the type locality, Ytterby, Resarö, Vaxholm, Stockholm County, Sweden, yttrotantalite-(Y) is associated with albite, garnet, topaz, and fergusonite-(Y) (HOM, Dana).

At Finnbo and Broddbo, both at Falun, Dalarna County, Sweden, yttrotantalite-(Y) is associated with albite, garnet and topaz (Dana).
