Localities

At Fielders Hill, Clive county, New South Wales, Australia, zavaritskite occurs in a quartz-muscovite-topaz greisen, associated with bismuthinite (HOM).

At the type locality, Sherlova Gora, Adun-Cholon Range, Nerchinsk Gem mines, Nerchinsk, Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia, zavaritskite occurs as an alteration product of bismuthinite in bismuth-bearing hydrothermal ore deposits in quartz-topaz-siderophyllite greisen cutting a granite pluton. Associated minerals include bismuthinite, bismuth, bismutite and gold (AM 48.210, HOM, Webmin).
