Zincorietveldite is a new mineral, approved in 2022 and to date (August 2023) reported onlt from San Juan county (2 localities).

Localities

At the type locality, the Blue Lizard mine, Red Canyon Mining District, San Juan county, Utah, USA, zincorietveldite occurs as transparent, vitreous yellow to orange–yellow blades in a secondary assemblage with bobcookite, coquimbite, halotrichite, libbyite, metavoltine, rhomboclase, römerite, tamarugite and voltaite (MM 87.528-533).
